Youth Access & Support Services (YASS)
Greta Stephens & Amani Matamu
The Youth Access & Support Service (YASS) is funded through the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth & Women.
YASS supports young people aged 12 to 21 years, and their families, who are at risk of disengaging from education or training, family and or community and aims to provide an early intervention framework that will bridge the gap to stop young people falling into statutory systems.
The YASS program includes two service types:
1. Access Services (information, advice and referral) - Services that assist service users with low support needs to make informed decisions about, or be connected to, the services and supports they need.
2. Support Services - Collaborative young person-centred case management with practical and well-planned support, to help young people with medium to high needs achieve their goals.
Participation in the YASS program is voluntary, please ensure you have obtained the young person's consent before making a referral to our program.
